How bad is the boost on the Pathfinder? What is it that people don't like about it? Does it sound "metally"? I don't play metal but I generally play with some distortion so I'd like it to at least be decent. Has anyone played through both and can give a comparison? I've seen a couple of posts saying that the Vox has better (great) cleans but the distortion isn't too great, and the TM-10/30 have better high-gain but thin cleans, but that's about it. I've been reading up on these little amps and they both get very good reviews from owners, but I haven't seen many comparisons between them. (I realize that the TM-10 is no longer made but it can be found used.) The 1990 Fender M-80 I have now needs to be repaired and it's always been WAY more powerful than I need anyway.
